ODAC ROXXOS!

ODAC is the best CCA there is in rj!!!! juz came back frm Basic Training Camp dis aftnn at abt 2. BANANAS ROX!!! btw, bananas is our grp name.

firz dae we met at 5 at specs gal and we collected stores and finally set off at abt 6. we were supp to make our wae dere ourselves to changi village jetty and take the boat to ubin. to my surprise, we took more den 2hrs to get there by takin 13 den takin mrt to tanahmerah frm kallang and finally takin 2 to changi village. on bus 2 dere was lyk a gigantic gepers gatherin at the back of the bus wif me taoni jasong darren mya elissa wenwei and sum others (sorry cant rmb). we were lyk makin damn lots of noise and loudly declarin tt we are all non-gepers. den i realised the sad truth tt im the onli unattached male dere (wif exception of horni, hu is gay). so sad... anw, we finally reached ubin at abt 9+ aft waitin and etc. aft a dark dinner of nasi lemak, we had to do orienteerin at nite without proper lightin to 3 stations b4 we were directed to our campsite and pitchd our tents. anw, even thoh i didnt realli noe mani pple in my grp (onli knew taoni, and was brief acquaintances wif sinchi and haoyi) i was damn happi dat i cld realli commuicate well wif and connect wif many of my grp mates! was singing songs lyk pokemon, sch song, powerpuff, etc. even thoh it was damn dark we were juz lyk jokin at the top of our voices and laughin and singin lyk mad!! haha, sum of the gurls were lyk damn scared of the dark roads and dogs oso. but the ubin roads were realli damn dark lar. almst pitch blk if not for the few few street lamps and sum torches.. but i felt it was ok lar. mebbe its my ncc backgrnd :D anw, we onli reached campsite at 11+ and the j2s had lyk dis damn cool tarp hangin ovr grndsheets and a lamp for everbody to juz sit dere and slack. had to pitch tent in quite dark conditions. me tao and jasong got dis damn cool dome tent which was ten times cooler den the other dome tents. and much faster to pitch and strike too. the rest of the nite was nthn much lar. er unless i left smth out. which i cant rmb.. so went to slp.

2nd dae morn woke up at 6. had a damn gd slp of 5-6hrs. ate bread and biscuits and milo while lookin at pangwei's attachment grp start on their gigantic store of can food for breakfast. aft tt is tutorials in RAMS, ropes and knots and tent pitchin. had some orienteerin in the form of determinin where the stations are wif the use of MGRs and a map. RAMs was seriously borin, but i suppose abit applicable. we made a shen hammock wif commscord and grndsheet at tent station, which was sadly destoryed by nini :P. den helped to pitch A-frames by gatherin huge stones to weigh down sides. den went to learn knots lyk reef knot, sheet band, figure of 8, dble figure of 8, bowsline, and sheepshank. not bad. quite fun. oso made a stretcher which was quite shen, can carry brendan, the 75kg j2. plaed a bit of soc on the beach wif a sepak takraw we found. met bakkwa n randall pereira. hu were in hc and vj odac respectively. aft tt went baq to campsite to cook a realli horrible dinner compared to wad the j2s had. toked more kok wif rest of odacians, such as wif jasong, mina and banga li. we all went to campfire at mamam beach at abt 7 i tink. each grp (bananas, spastics and my children) had to put up a skit and a song. sadly our grps was lyk crap. but nvm. the other two were realli funny and entertainin. aft tt we were learning to sing the odac song. which chorus goes smthin lyk dis:

it realli rox man. plus the guitar accompainment. realli beautiful song. donnoe hu write un. and we sang top of the world and pass it on wif mr low oso. den we plaed dis game where we jacked hulin. wont describe too much of the game, so can use on other pple nxt time. aft tt we went baq to campsite to set off for nite activity. which turned out to be a solowalk. we trekked to dis i tink northeastern side of ubin and stoned and reflected abit b4 the walk. the dirt track was realli realli pitch black. had some nerves b4 settin out but was ok generally. it was realli well planned and a great great experience. so far, dis has onli been my firz real solo walk. had some grp"solo" nites for ncc b4 but nthn beats dis. deres sum parts of the route where the dist btw two lite sticks (markin our route) was so long dat un wld be afraid tt they hav took the wrong turn or smth lyk tt. aft finishin the dirt track part, we grped into grps of 5 to finish teh rest of the journey baq to our campsite. the 2nd part was realli eerie if it had been solo bcos of all the empty hses and stuff. but since it was in grps of 5, it was ok lar. sadly i thot i saw some j2 b4 we turned awae frm the red and white barrier. but accordin to sum1 hu thot she saw too and went to ask other j2s, dere was supp to be nobodi dere. >< anw. when we reached the campsite we juz sat down wif the rest of the bananas and toked and toked and toked.

3rd dae woke up and juz stoned, bcos was damn cold. ate a little and den began to strike tent. got stuff and pple were goin towards jetty when the j2s simulated med evac and we had to build and carry david on a stretcher to the jetty. which was abit far. pain for arms. had to tok kok to him to 'distract' him and muz give him med attention and stuff. quite funny lar. den finally we were presented the rjodac collar pin and den went baq to sg. ate lunch at changi village and den followd bus baq to rj. crap, i slept dem alot the whole time and nearly cldnt wake me up despite nini tryin so hard. helped to unload stores and carry to odac rm. den walked wif nini and vera and went home.

ODAC BTC is the funnest and best "orientation/intro" camp i hav ever been to. better den orientation. sumhow i clicked and bonded realli kwikly wif the rest of the odacians and my grp mates. odac juz rox.
