Tuesday, January 04, 2005 second day of jcwe started the day with station games and i screwed completely the obstacle course. i didnt count how many rounds arnd the stick i ran, i did the mentos-in-flour thing from the wrong plate (did the other team's one) and then didnt do starjumps in the end. i went first so din know. felt completely stupid after that. anyway our og went for lunch at thompson plaza which was okay lah. the girls sat together and boys were split to other tables so really its not much interaction or wat.returned to school to learn dance and the batch dance was freaking crazy. its really cool and all, but the theta and psycho parts seem impossible for us. u need to really really practice it like 347328987 times to get the timing and everything. crazy lah. anyway to benny: i don't believe u're bad at dancing. as long as you look good enough, have some style, and don't have major psychomotor problems u can dance. its just that alot of us suffer from the invisible audience syndrome - you know, teenagers think everyone is watching when in fact no one is. so as long as the person lets go of image and fear of getting embarassed or awkwardness it's much easier to pick up dance. that's my experience anyway. the only problem is its nearly impossible not to feel bu4 hao3 yi4 si4 or feel that ure gonna look stupid when you dance. anyway after that go back to hall and we voted rich and huiting as our j1 leaders. u know as a prefect and all its natural i'd think ppl mite vote for me, and i wouldnt mind see, cos it makes u feel important, and everyone likes that feeling. but its conflicting cos at the same time i didnt want to be j1 leader cos leadership means responsibility for others, something i'm not good at. responsibility is a big thing, and i don't like it. i can handle myself perfectly well, but it gets tough with other ppl. they're not me, after all. anyway i wanted rich and huiting to be j1 leaders cos they were enthu and all so i'm happy. of course theres the disappointment that im not voted, but then again its cos i always xin1 xiong1 xia2 zai3 for short while. anyway i've had enough of all this leadership thing. it's weird really, family members, teachers and friends have told me i have leadership qualities, i'm born to be a leader blah blah, but everytime i do what resembles leading i don't like it, i don't like the pressures and circumstances etc to do with leadership. i just don't like to lead. okay anyway if u didnt get what i just said in the last paragraph, just re-read the first sentence, and know that i'm very happy they're our leaders cos they're enthu and nice ppl. ya. =) dismissal next. ran to ri to see who playing soccer, run back to rjc to see og playing games like meh-mehs and black magic, we eventually got too noisy in the hall and the teacher briefing the ogls on tmr's plans scolded us and we zao-ed from the hall. everyone just stoned around at our k'cove and it was quite sian and i was wondering how i was gonna survive another 3 days with this sianness. eventually we went to cafe cartel first and ate den our ogls came. dinner was cool, we ate (obviously), talked and watched this tchs guy do magic tricks with cards. it was great trying to figure out how he pulled off the tricks or simply getting amazed at his tricks. it was good interaction, i'd say it was better than 2 days of activities. but then again it was only within our table. guys and girls were mixed around so ya it was fun instead of guys talk to guys girls talk to girls kinda sad case scenario that happened with zhenghao's og. anyway our table was lotsa fun so yay. anyway tmr is amazing race which will be good for interaction anyway. (in case benny is suspecting, this does NOT read as buayaing, thank you very much) whats the point of orientation if theres no interaction? anyhow today was more interesting than yesterday, especially after seeing leehoo realise a certain girl was in his group after a whole day. tmr will be more fun, i suppose. to nat: i don't buaya. seriously. io'm guai. to cheese: stop being so stupid please. to leehoo: have fun for 3 more days in ur fantastic og. to pong: thanks for finally bringing oceans eleven. to benny: it's alright to be idealistic. everyone needs to dream, without dreams theres no hope, without hope life is meaningless. but ideological is totally different matter. to everyone else: enjoy orientation! teo spoke at 10:49 PM *** |
