torres is king

Atletico Madrid's Torres favours Man Utd
tribalfooball.com - June 18, 2006

If he is to leave Atletico Madrid, Fernando Torres favours the Premiership over Serie A.

AC Milan have been linked as a rival to Manchester United's bid for the Spain international, but those close to Torres say he prefers England.

It's been revealed that Atletico director Miguel Angel Gil Marin has already informed official supporters' groups that Torres will be allowed to leave should a ?25 million bid arrive. But nothing will be accepted until the club captain addresses fans personally to explain his decision to leave.

United are outright favourites to land Torres, who has reportedly told Spain teammates he expects to move to Old Trafford after the World Cup.
